    Man I miss Barry Switzer
Of course the above coach is The Tuna, but Switzer has the best one liners in all of sports.

everybody that says that we were playing for the fg needs to go back and look at the series of plays again.

    after the replay we did
    1. JV 4 yd run
    2. JV 2 yd run.( ok so now you have 3rd and 4, perfect to be able to convert and keep the drive alive.)
    3. we try to run a short slant to bowe but he is covered and Jmar feels pressure and rolls out. Nobody is open except for hester who is streaking down the sideline. Jmar over throws him just a little and hester is tackled right before the ball got there. now it 4th down and you have to kick.

now you tell me how we played for the fg. maybe you say you pass on 2nd but JV made it to where it was a very makable 3rd and 4.

What? Jackson is the best kicker we've got.

Colt David is good, but as we've learned, not quite that good at angling the kick outside of a center position.

And who else would you suggest? Gaudet? Remember when we lost to Auburn last year by one point? Oh yeah.

Not slamming any of the players, just making the point that Jackson is the best we've got. And at LEAST one of those misses last night was very questionable.

Now, what the hell do the misses have to do with Les Miles?

777, no need to interject logic and analysis to this "discussion." If they're not throwing the ball 90% of the time, they're playing "loser" football. If they're not running 90% of the time, it's "loser" football. No matter what they do, including win, they're playing loser football to some.

Hell, what's the use in arguing with a guy who says "idiot kicker" and in the next breath saying he's not dissing the kicker?

of course hes our best kicker who had a bad day. big deal it happens. I woulda went to him in OT if needed and never thought twice. jackson is usually clutch. $hit happens.

oh no doubt nolimit. Most people know im a big critic of miles but there was nothing to question yesterday.

and why would you not let the person that won you the AU game kick at the end for a chance to win? So far in his career in baseball and football CJ has been pretty damn clutch. You have to let him have a chance to win it.

That's just it. I don't mind objective analysis, but from what I can tell, they called a pretty damned good game. It came down to execution, just like every other week. It's ultimately on the players to play and win, and yet again, they did just that. Like Tirk has said, there's not a big difference from 1st half to 2nd half, OTHER THAN EXECUTION.

Those were tough kicks...We put the pressure on him too and it was LOUD (especially the last one in the 4th quarter). He's a good kicker too. Ease up.
