I just hope that JP Wilson gets more comfortable in the pocket; he's got talent, he just needs to learn. He got off to a great start last year. I remember when he was pretty dominant at Hoover. Blake Davidson was our QB the year I graduated; we got blown out by Daphne.
While I won't bore you with the details, the system being installed is a lot like what he ran in high school; shotgun formation leading to a lot of slip/quick screens, moving from the Power I to a 3 wide set and back all within a series of downs. I read a note a few minutes ago from a guy who had a conversation with Auburn Asst. Terry Price. In a nutshell he thought the O was going to lead the SEC this year and the best OLman in the nation was Andre Smith. We'll see. I was amused hearing about his thoughts that Vandy was going to field their best team in 20 years. I can't say I doubt that.
Cover your eyes Terry, I know this is not representative of the majority of Bama fans cause I've seen resonable predictions for next year on Tidefans.com but thought is was funny nontheless. It was posted in another forum.
Did Bama man hang up before the USC fan could stop laughing... Must have been a painful 30 minutes if he didn't. You know, on a game-by-game basis, anything can happen but seriously thinking a MNC out the gates should qualify you for mental retardation tax credits on your federal return.:dis: Later, Fur
Updated: Sep. 30, 2003, 7:47 PM ET Man charged with attempted murder PINSON, Ala. -- A Pinson man was charged with attempted murder for holding a gun to his son's head and pulling the trigger in the midst of a tantrum after Alabama's double overtime loss to Arkansas Saturday. The bullet narrowly missed 20-year-old Seth Logan, who said he picked the wrong time to ask his dad for a car, sheriff's spokesman Deputy Randy Christian said Monday. Joseph Alan Logan, 46, surrendered to police Saturday and was charged with attempted murder and domestic violence. He was released from the Jefferson County jail Sunday on $7,500 bond. "I know we take football serious in the South," Christian told The Birmingham News for a Tuesday story, "but that's crossing the line." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1626939
