i predict: lsu by 11: 69-58 the national spotlight gets big baby excited to show off his physique, and he drops a couple monster jams, just to prove he can.
I have the same problem, so I am trying to figure out a way to record a split screen . My favorite show "The Wire" season finale comes on at 9 on HBO but I will have to catch another showing.
Thats rough, but i have finals first thing tomorrow morning. So I will have a great night tonight "studying"...
my main questions going in are -- can lsu stop durant? cjb may try bb on him, but i bet theyll double with lazare in the post. durant plays away from the basket a bit so it might be lazare or taz. how will lsu handle three quick guards? they can hit threes, but i think the concern is if they drive (gt's weakness in past) tx doesnt have size so i think bb does well if he gets the ball in decent position and gives it up upon any triple team and most doubles. tx is young so i think lsu handles them.
I try to ignore the Horns & Aggies but that can be difficult living in Houston. From the little I've heard, the Horns have a very talented freshman class that's led by a guy (Durant?) that would've been a top 3 pick out of high school if they didn't change the rule. Their guard play has been inconsistent but is talented and Augustin has been starting (I think). He transferred from NO to Houston (Hightower) after Katrina and I remember that LSU wanted him pretty bad. We'll be watching the game from a suite in Toyota Center and I've been told there's a big screen that will have the Saints game. I'm looking forward to it. I have a friend that is going to the Saints game and said he was going to make a sign that said "Romo + TO = Homo (Cajun math)" I doubt he'd be able to display it for long but that would be cool if he could get it on TV somehow.
If any of you haven't gotten a chance to see Kevin Durant yet prepare to be amazed. Of course I hope he doesn't do well and he gets shut down by Temple or Mitchell, but the kid can straight score. Which LSU is going to show up? Also it will be interesting to see how Tack Minor decides to play.
Durant has been pretty hesitant to play inside and that would certainly warrant Temple guarding him. If Durant or Rick Barnes has any sense he'll set Durant on the block and force Mitchell to guard him. Mitchell is a good defender but I can see him getting into foul trouble and getting Mitchell out of the game severely limits the Tigers scoring.
