That has crossed my mind...it may also be the added pressure of having to be the "rock" of the line this year. Whatever the case I think out of all his years here this has not been his best!

I wouldnt think our Ad is that naive, thyey know that the money trail is the seats in the stadium not the buy out.

folks the buy outs are chump change to the money the program generates.

A winning team or SEC title would more than pay for whatever buy out Miles or Crowton cost. yes the revenues are that big.

So that's what it is with some of you? Not playing enough True Freshman? I was looking at some of the recruits LSU alledgedly "Lost" last year, when Miles brought in the #1 recruiting class. Funnny thing though, I couldn't find a single stat for WR Kenny Bell or DL-Darrington Sentimore at Bama. Where are they? Milk cartoons across nation are begging to know. I did find some stats for DB- Janzen Jackson at Tennessee, at least 1 failed drug test, 1 suspention & 1 fairly major arrest.

Patrick Peterson is playing because he is able to play well, as Chad Jones was able to play well as a True Freshman.

Apparently you didn't understand the Jacobs Award is an SEC Award, not an LSU award. It is not a career achievemnt award. Ciron's Senior season - 2009, is when he graded out over 85% per game.

Brandon Lafell is a 1st round draft pick. Arguing that he drops balls is ridiculous. ALL WRs drop balls. Even LSU greats Wendell Davis & Josh Reed dropped balls. Yes, I am talking about his whole career. You claimed players don't progress under Les Miles. Brandon Lafell & Ciron Black did and many other have.

if Crowton stays I can see this, but it might be worst because I would also put Auburn in a toss up game, all the SEC west is just getting better and tougher. I would say 7-5 next year but could easily be 5-7 also. I like CLM and would like to see him show us how good a coach he is by getting rid of Crowton this year, if he doesn't then next year he should go with Crowton for being a idiot and wasting another year.

I think the issue that some people have is that we stayed with the same package, doing the same thing, regardless of results. I don't see any harm in putting a true freshman (TRUE because CLM already burned his redshirt status for less worthy causes) in for a series or two just to see what would happen. But no, we had to watch him dance on the sideline.

A solid coach. His teams always improved as the seasons went on. You are incorrect.

Nick Saban burned Travis Daniel's redshirt for 1 game. That resulted in 1 pass breakup & no tackles. Dancing on the sideline? I assume you mean Russell Shepard who was LSU #3 leading rusher this season, who played in all but 2 games. Besides the obvious difference of Shepard having much more playing time, Travis came out with the qoute everyone loved, about playing for the uniform he wore.

are there really people still defending the under-utilization of young talent at LSU? this isnt even arguable any longer.

even the les miles defenders know this now.

im at the point where i cant take this deer in headlights look from a coach. unless hes winning championships. we seem to be on a downward curve and crip is correct- this team has not progressed. even la tech and moo u outgain us and teams run about 15 more plays on average against us. every week.

miles looks completely lost on the sidelines even though he has a nc. may be the larry coker syndrome but w/o the character issues. very possible it was just the perfect storm. who knows.

we lost to a lesser talented PSU team today, there is no doubt about that.

on top of that, we were lucky not to have been blown out. luckily the talent on the field kept it close as well as joepas usual conservative play.

everyone is blaming crowton but it starts at the top. les is likely way in over his head. i think most can almost admit that to themselves now. i have.

chavis cant win a championship with this style defense either. zero pressure no matter how long the pass play takes. 3rd and chavis is a losing, losing formula.

and make no mistake, LSU cannot afford to fire miles this year even if they wanted. he gets next year and maybe one more.

although 6-6 is very possible, because it is a rebuilding year, could seal his fate.

then again could either lines up front perform worse even with new faces? i seriously doubt it.

this team is lethargic, poorly coached and undisciplined. not a good sign for a 5th year coach with a veteran team. at least a team with experience in key positions in a down year for the sec. this was the year to make some noise.

charles scott and lafell cant be too happy about their decision to return. that was a coup to have these talented dudes return. such draftable talent, doesnt happen often.

trindon holidays career was practically wasted. lets not do the same to russell shepards or rueben randle. shepard was our best playmaker all year when he touched the ball and LSU's greatest ambassador coming in.

yet where is he when we are down 13-3 and a grand total of about 60 yards at half?

i guess the excuse of not knowing the playbook cant be used anymore.

the book on miles is out. no idea whats going on during the game. cannot manage the clock. will not play his best players.

and the most ineffective position on the team is the offensive line. the position he played himself and should be coaching-up. the same line he said was the best in his career at LSU.

his comments on that pretty much reinforce what I was afraid of all along.

his incoherence in interviews simply mirrors his coaching. dazed and confused.

I know I had to work today, and only got to see a half of the game. All I saw RS doing was bouncing around, for one shot, on the sidelines. I don't think Saban was God when he was here. I don't believe in burning reshirts unless you need to. Since we already burned, Sheppard's, what's the point of not putting him in at least one series to see what would happen? It's not RS's fault, he can't call himself into the game.
