I just love it when liberals draw the lines of what they are and aren't going to do.
The whole government under Obama and the Democrat congress is a f***ing joke.

The sad thing is that it was almost this bad under bush.
The politicians are just as bad as the CEO's if not worse.
Politicians telling the private sector how to manage their companies when they are corrupt and running the country into the ground.
Examples: Barney Frank and Chris Dodd with Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.
The Do-nothing republican Congress and bush to fix the problem.

Like I said the whole country and our government is one big joke.
Give Obama time, I promise you that he will take us further to the left, as liberal as some would want.

Example: Health care, Bill Clinton was a moderate and yet tried to take us to socialized medicine, you can bet your life Obama will get us there with the only exception being possibly the financial mess this country is in.

You are also missing a point.
I just love it when people like you blame corporate america.
I'm not sure if people just don't get it but with this attitude overall will see to it that we go the route of socialism and then possibly communism.

What makes me angry is some people on this board blame the private sector and totally ignore politicians.
Please, I'd love to see one of you take up for all the politicians in this country of which are no doubt both sides, republicans and democrats.
Most are crooks, some go to DC poor and leave rich others go to DC rich and leave richer.

It is the politicians as well responsible for trillions of dollars of debt and getting worse.
It is the politicians that helped cause the housing bubble to burst.
I found it interesting that the only part of the economy that is growing isn't the private sector, its government.
The government just continues to grow no matter how the economy is going and no one seems to understand or even care!
I know that most people don't understand this because you won't find it on the TV.

Do you really think people here don't see the shortcomings of govt? I see blame laid at the private sector's feet, but a lot more on govt. I only see politicians blaming everything on big business.

Maybe more people believe this elsewhere, but I don't know any personally.

I hear the details of it every day from my wife . My wife works for one of these CEO people with the corporate jet.

Their company just laid off 8% of the work force but the 2 planes are still business as usual and costing the company big money.

    That was my point.

I totally agree with you on the Govt. and under Obama our Govt will triple in size and our debt will be 10 times what it was when he took office.

It is the worst case scenario for the American people. Democrat President, Senate, and House, and a free check because of the economy.

And I am pulling for Obama to do good.

Capitalism doesnt work when you factor in greed and corruption in Corporate America and Our Govt is the same way.

Our Govt is run by special interest and all our politicians are for sale. It is Mr. Smith goes to Wash. come true and the problem is there are no good guys left to take on that role.

Our elected officials take the oath but dont believe in the words anymore. If they did we wouldnt have Presidents lying under oath. Taking us to war without having congress declare it. Congress spending more than they take in. Taxing the people of the United States to the point of collapse. Taking trips to resorts on Lobbyist.

I used to be a Republican but now i am an independent that hates both parties equally because they are all either crooks, or have given up on fixing a broke system that crushes honest people.

Obama has the ideals but i dont think he can change the infrstructure of corruption that has taken over.

IF HE CAN I WILL VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE IN 4 YEARS.

your post = irrelevant to me. It adds nothing to the discussion but divisiveness. :thumb:

Typical Post from you= Its all the liberals fault and Obama will destroy this country. Like all of a sudden you popped out of Ms. Cleos' azz and can predict the future of someone whos been in office for a week.

I'll consider listening to you when you have something constructive to say.

This whole thread was started because of the ridiculous notion of Citigroup taking delivery of the jet, without looking shameful in this economic climate.

Bottom line is the whole bailout was handled poorly, and for that both parties are to blame. Including Pres Obama and the Dem majority vote Congress and Senate. Yes, I do know that it was a Rep Sec ot Treasury that shoved the idea down everyones throat. Just saying none of them are free from having been stupid in this bailout decision. Worst thing to me is that I am sure that most of us regular Joes could have developed a better plan than all of our, highly intelligent, master minded politicians.

Yep, but he is continuing the policies of the Bush Administration.
Stimulus packages and bailouts that don't fix the problems but just slapa band aid on it!
We can't afford stimulus programs with that much pork in it either!
Then there are the trillions of dollars of national debt, no one gave bush or republicans a break for that!
    I didn't give Bush a pass either!;)

Obama didnt even like the pork in the bill, he has requested alot of it to be stripped out of the bill. Like the BS contraceptive funding and the BS National Mall restoration funding as well.

I agree you didnt give Bush a pass, but you definitely wasnt hard on him.
