Sorry man gotta disagree. He may have deserted, and if he did, court Marshall his ass, but everything I'm hearing is we would have had to release those dudes in 2015 anyway, so why not get this dude back, if anything to prosecute him for the going AWOL leading to 6 American deaths.

He made the comments about himself. He said he hated America and soldiers were fools. For me that spells anti-American. It's not my place but there are those who served who would tell her exactly that. I wonder if his mother would tell the mothers of the 6 servicemen killed looking for him, that his deserting ass was worth their sons coming home in a box.
It wasn't just his life. It was the life of those who were KIA as a result of his actions, and the lives of those who are put in even further harm because of the 5 fuckheads that were released. Putting him on the same level as John McCain, or even Jessica Lynch, as a POW is false. This is wrong in so many ways. I know guys that are ramping up to deploy once again. There is no justification for it.
