It was in the USA Today Life Section from Jan 7th I believe. Not exactly sure of the date, but that is where it was from.
If you look at the last paragraph, the Rose Bowl is nowhere to be found. Only the Postgame Show. That is the number that was reported in the USA Today - 17.9, but for the Rose Bowl itself.
Not sure which is correct, but even if the same number of people watched I am still happy with that. The reason for my post was that all these dickheads like JT the Brick made it seem like no one was even interested. Well 24 million people were interested motherf*****.

The USC people were touting the over night ratings story in some paper that had the heading "Lowest ratings for BCS NC in history" or something of that nature. It did say that as I clicked on the link. And it may still be the case. I don't know about that. But I am really not worried who watched it, I did. And I think it is unbelievable that we would tie the Rose Bowl or just beat them when you consider the 2 media markets those teams are from.

It was the second lowest rated BCS championship game of all 6. No matter what they say, at least as many people watched our game.
