One less dropped pass in the endzone and that game was over. We got outplayed because we let it happen. We can still win out.
Folks, flynn is fine, the O line isnt performing like it did at the first of the season. This could be due to Injury and some other issues. They seem to run block pretty well, so yeah RP would probably do great, BUT as the game wears on the D catches on to an ALL RUN offense. You have to pass once in a while to keep them Honest. We can open up some lanes but we cant keep a pocket. This doesnt mean the season is lost. Hopefully Miles can make some adjustments. I bet he does, we've only lost one game it aint lights out yet.
I argued all week with people at work that Miles was stupid for the hester runs against florida... came back to bite him in the ass... The best thing to do on 4th and more than 2 is to roll out your qb, give him a pass run option... by running up the gut you are giving your guys only one option... not smart football
Ok. I'm confident that when Auburn loads the box all game and dares Matt Flynn to throw, he and his receiving corps will get the job done :dis:
On that last play, I would've liked to have seen some sort of option, I think that works better for a runner like Scott. I wouldn't have minded RP being the man to run said option, but I can't fault Coach Miles for leaving his starter in there in that situation.
I actually thought towards the end of the 2nd half, we got away from the RP options a bit too early, again that's just me. I think Matt suffered some hits and rushes he didnt need to. The option kind of negates the pass rush. So this would have helped, again IMO. Bottom Line is we need to get our O line healthy. Matt cant throw with 300 lb linemen breathing in his ear.
Had nothing to do with us averaging over 5 yards per carry? It's called playing the percentages. Apparently, you have the best eye-sight in the country. Everyone else sees us in contention for the MNC. We're ranked no lower than 5 in all the polls, even our opponents know we're still probably the best team in the country. We had an off night, and yet a top 25 team STILL needed 3 overtimes, homefield advantage, and a couple close calls to go their way to beat us. Would that be that awesome D that gave up nearly 250 yds to Moo U.? Wow, I'm shaking in my boots. Are you going to man up and eat your crow when we run the table the rest of the way? Or are you going to go back in hiding and hope aomething else goes wrong so you can come out here and brag? My guess is we won't be seeing much of you after we molest Auburn.
Well, somebody is blind. We're the bestteam in the SEC and still in the top five. That's spelled CONTENDER. Nobody gets out of the SEC undefeated.
