linebacker is a position that you can dominate early too, b/c tackling is tackling... they don't get blocked very often...

they just need to work on recognition... to see the play developing, etc...

if he can get up to 210 by the fall he can definately come in as a Will linebacker... I think we will see Highsmith, Sanders, and.... KORTE at LB... guy is prototypical for the position.. 6'2, 230 (this year), 4.6 (last year).. maybe be bigger and faster by now... with the log jam we will have at runningback next year (Broussard, Vincent, Jackson, Robinson, Murphy, Scott, and most likely Williams) i think this guy would be best served to move to the defense...

I am quite sure it was already decided that he will be moving over after he got hurt

Didnt know if it was a planned thing.. also saw that Scott is very impressive at linebacker.. he is already at 215.. at 4.66 he is a bit slow for a RB but perfect at LB..

As long as you have "beef" up front on the D-line they don't...

Have you forgotten that Kevin Steltz, our full-time blocking FB will be gone after this season? ....and Jacob Hester is HARDLY big enough to be a full-time lead blocker.

Korte came to LSU as a FB--a position that we are not log-jammed at. Sure, you can sub a TE and use them as an "H-back" but....

Though he ran exceptionally well for a big back, I doubt that Ron Dayne was that much faster than a 4.6 ....and he worked out pretty well.

Charles Scott is the "Gatorade Player of the Year" in LA. as well as & is Louisiana's "Mr. Football" this year at RB. He ran consistantly in the 4.5 range at LSU is up to 220+ lbs range & but is not being considered for LBer at LSU. Yes, he could easily play LBer at the college level, may even be top 2-3 in the state at LB, but Scott is a tremendous Running Back.
