Well I would be pissed too. It was a game changing play. The referees time and time again this year have done this. The Florida-Tennessee game, the Kansas-Texas game yesterday, etc.

No they never showed the Bama fans doing that.

Have to disagree with you on that one. I'm usually pretty fair in my judgements. On seeing it live I thought it was obvious pass interference, in wathcing it over 50 times I think it was a good no call. Webster did not puch him any more than he was pushed. I wathced it over on my recroder at regular speed, slo-mo and super slo-mo and he did not push him at all I thought.

Just goes to show you how everyone can see things differently because I watched it over and over again this morning and there is no question in my mind. We got lucky. I think it was pretty blatant and we dodged a major game changing play with that non-call.

Doesnt matter though cause we won and the outcome of that play at this point is moot! :)

Marcus Randall has the respect of the team, he just doesn't have the mental wherewithall to progress through his reads. He was throwing INT's, but now he's just eating them for sacks and negative plays.

The offense plays inspired football when he's in there. The problem is that we don't have that advantage of emotion when the other team begins to realize our playbook is tiny with him, since they have NO confidence in him.

Russell brings more passing to the game, but he still can't progress through reads, either.

Anyone who says Randall did poorly...Well, they're right...and anyone who says that Russell is garbage...Well, at this point in his career, they're right, too....I'd prefer to call him a work in progress...but garbage is an apt description of his play, and the LSU quarterback situation as well.

Anyone calling for Matt Flynn is a glutton for punishment...You can't get THREE quarterbacks ready in one week for an SEC opponent...Not even Vandy or UK...You sure as hell can't prepare them if they got almost NIL reps in fall camp, and suffered from off-season surgery, a stomach virus in fall camp, etc...

Flynn isn't ready, period. But, the door will be WIDE OPEN for him in the offseason.

Russell isn't the first to meetings. He's not paying the price for leadership of this team. Marcus has. Will Flynn...as of yet, we don't know. But, it is obvious that he does not have the ability to inspire the team.

Time is the only thing that will tell this tale...Lots of kids are late bloomers...

i think everyone needs to remember that russell is only a redshirt freshman. Who also has inexpierenced recievers. This team loses 1 starter on offense i believe.

actually no, at first i thought it was blatant til I watched the replay 100 times but thanks for the insinuation.

yeah forgot about that whitewashing year one. i dont count it.

and as far as randall and russell go, i meant the team seems to play with more of a purpose with randall in the game. it seems clear they either respect him more or simply feel more comfortable blocking for him.

I agree that Russell has regressed. You would think that he would get better with each game. I saw him play in high school and he was every bit the phenom that he was touted as. I guess he just needs more reps and experience, but he didn't play that bad last night considering that he was a freshman going against the No. 1 defense in the nation. If anyone can get him to play to his potential, it will be Coach Saban and his staff.
