not if the money is spent on something worth investig in, like a war or schools or infrastructure. yunno something that means we will have economic growth or the peace that allows it. but if we are spending on things social security, then yes, it is a waste. but you are the one who favors these sort of programs. social security and entitlement programs are among the most expensive things the government does.
Answer me this: how has our increased trade or budget deficit hurt you personally? How has it done anything to effect your lifestyle? It doesn't effect anything. When Greenspan says something our our deficit hurting the economy, it's a political thing. Nothing more........he's been told to do that because now Bush's agenda, because of off-year elections, is to appear to be a budget hawk. Man, man, man.
Apples and oranges. There are poor single people and poor families that both need tax breaks. There are singles and families that are fabulously rich and don't need tax breaks. I repeat, there is no correlation with tax breaks for the rich and simple marital status.
He's taken care of the people that need the money the most. Flies in the face of the most common arguments.
I could accept this. If only there were a plan to pay it back. But there is none. But according to Greenspan, it will result in a weaker dollar and serious inflation in future generations. We have the responsibility to keep the country economically strong . . . or it may not have an indefinite life. Is England the economic power it once was? Is Rome?
Now you sound like martin who is only concerned with himself. I'm also concerned with my country's economic well-being. I'm also trying to look ahead to problems we can avoid.
They write the check to the Government Bond holders, Britain, China and Japan are the biggest foreign holders. Now, who is a retard? As well as barely literate. Do you really think calling people names and making personal insults helps your amazingly weak argument?
Weak Argument? OK, I'll follow the dean of the Dept. of Econ at George Mason U. before a dude named Red on a free speech board. There's no check written dude. Who writes it, Santa?
