I wish you'd get off the who beat who "Early in the season" you sound like a broken record; and let me show you Aubie's exact words about what he thought about LSU:

Nowhere does he say "Auburn is playing better". And his post is clearly non-flamatory; rather, matter of factly presented.

He happens to be a well-respected poster here. Maybe you should read more and post less until you find out who's who and hurl false accusations.

    What did you say again?

Kidding aside you make a great point. Didn't seem like he was flaming. He knows deep down LSU would beat Auburn if they played late October, and we will find out next year. 10/20/07. Mark it.

so far, from what I've read , most Auburn fans are pulling for LSU to "represent" in the Rose .... so go kick some arse that is deserving of kicking. :thumb:

But , I must call extreme, prejudicial BS on this:
Never will i understand how any knowledgable fan of CFB could agree with that statement. Nuthin' personal.

Please enlighten us and tell us which two Western Division teams we lost to. Take your time, you'll need it.

You're not the brightest bulb in the light fixture at times. :(

Oklahoma certainly was playing great at the end of the year in '03 when they got throttled by Kansas State.

On this subject. It just plays out weird some years. The SEC, with so many good teams, seems to lend itself to these quirks.

Think about this possible scenario. LSU loses to Auburn early, and Auburn loses to Fl late in the season. Auburn wins the west. Because of LSU's schedule, convincing wins, etc. LSU ends the season ranked #2 behind Ohio State, who has 0 losses. Auburn plays a 2 or 3 loss East team in the champ game closely. Auburn doesn't get a big enough jump to surpass LSU in the BCS...LSU! plays Ohio State for the national title, after losing to Auburn head to head, Auburn winning the SEC championship game, and Auburn coming out with the same overall record...Bizarre.

So, the premise of the original post about who is better, who beat who, etc, is irrelevant.

my question for aubie is this: do you consider LSU the 5th best team in the country? if not LSU then who would you put in the Rose? What bowl would you place LSU in?
