The new AD & the BOS do oversee hiring of coaches & took part in hiring 2 so far, ( probably 3 very soon) this year & last. It is their ass if O fails, so they "Assist" him by hiring great coaches for him. How is that a cabal? O is just a yes man. To who? His bosses.
