Let's see how you feel when the cost of virtually everything goes up by 25%

Trump has definitely cornered the outlandishly racist segment of the electorate.

If we stop hemoraging money to unscrupulous countries and produce in the US again, the cost may go up but the domestic profit will also go up.

If you buy something from China, you get something cheap but all that money you spend leaves the US. Our economy could use more money. Don't think China won't take note; it's a legit threat to them as well.

Who else has the balls to stand up to profiteers? Not Hitlery Clintler, for sure.

We have to be competitive to manufacture in the US and we're not because of our labor costs. We will never have labor as cheap as China because we will never make people work for wages that low. The free market has shown us many times that when you interfere with it, it can burn you so instead of regulating, we have to find a way to compete or just accept the fact that we have a trade imbalance with China. Otherwise, gray and black market items will infiltrate our economy.

It's not free market, it's an unbalanced market. Other countries are making political moves to take advantage of our free market principles. We need to be self sufficient and supplemental with the benefits of globalization. Other countries that are taking advantage of us will feel it and adjust their practices to not lose the US market.

That argument is overly simplistic. While I agree that of course China is rigging the game, we are not going to be able to compel them to stop manipulating their currency the way Trump says we can. Nor will we be able to get them to bring their labor practices up to date. It will take decades of building a coalition of nations to sanction China into changing and not only are we focused on more important matters, but the risks in such an approach are tremendous. Just because Trump says "trust me, they'll do what I say" doesn't mean they actually will.

If China doesn't change, we transition away from them. Self sufficiency is important as a national security issue. We shouldn't need China; desiring their services is different than needing them. Being scared of China is unbecoming, especially for Republicans.

If that were entirely true then Germany manufacturing base would not be as strong as it is. What we need is a commitment by Americans and American companies to purchase from each other.

dont know but i can tell you this i work for a company that manufactures products in Germany. When you walk through the factory the only machines that are in there have german names. And before someone states the obivous, i do understand the irony of my working for a german company and advocating buy american. In my defense i hopefully will be moving to the last american manufacture of the equipment i install very soon.

We are the worlds largest consuming economy. There is much we can do.

These deals are shit. Trump is very right in that regard.

China also makes use of Tarifs. They do what they can to protect AMERICAN INVESTMENT in their economy.

I think some don't really understand what Trump said or meant. There wouldn't be a blanket Tarif/tax. Though he would seek to stop the bleeding from those exploiting us and the American people.

There is zero Wrong with that.
