You are wrong sir - this thread is not a fluke. We've had nine of these this year - one for each victory.

this isn't really a revelation. we have a very inconsistent offense. we have for 2 seasons. we win games with minimal offense, and a dominant defense and great special teams play. that is our identity. i would get used to it for at least the next 3 games.

(I'll finish it for you)... it's got to be good coaching.

My point is - we all know the struggles we've had on offense this year. Despite them all, we keep winning. Isn't that the sign of not only a good coach, but a GREAT coach? To be able one of the top teams in the toughest conference with an inconsistent at best passing game almost defies logic. It means he's had to figure out different ways to win games. And he's done it. When will that man ever get the credit he deserves?

And some people on this forum would have you believe that the team with the best stats wins.

That was kind of my point, in a round-about way, but you have to hold him responsible for our QB situation as well. It's like Jamarcus Russell, give him credit for some great comebacks, but give him a heaping of blame for getting us in the position to need a great comeback. Like JR, how great would this team be with adequate play from the QB/WR position. And I agree, our "great" WRs haven't stepped up all year on a consistent basis, so some of our offensive woes get shifted from QB to WR.

And to all those who want to beat their chest after a ULM victory, I give Miles and team credit for a solid win, but this isn't something to gloat over. We could very well lose either or both of our two remaining regular season games (I say this as one of the more optimistic people I know following the Auburn loss - fig newton is an amazing player). Our QB situation is pretty inexcusable in my eyes, if Crowton isn't gone (don't expect he will be unless we lose out) I'll be disappointed. I have come to like Miles to a degree, but I have a strong suspicion our offensive woes have something to do with him.

I'll argue with anyone that Mauck and Flynn were two of LSU's greatest QBs ever.

I remember the 90s, this is much MUCH better, but there is still room for improvement and the way our passing game has performed for a while now isn't really to par. I do give Miles a lot of credit, though, it seems we're better off than UT and OU with him. Maybe even UF and Bama, which I find pretty hard to believe. I just have trouble getting fully behind Miles when our passing game has been this bad for this long. Add to that some clock mismanagement and Miles-isms and he has some serious question-marks in my eyes. What I struggle with as a hater is that Miles has some serious positive attributes - great attitude and leader, hired a great D coordinator, luck out the wazoo, knows when to pull the trigger on trick plays, big brassy balls.

What's wrong with Dr. Dave is that he watched to see if our QB's looked like Tom Brady tonight and when they didn't, he was unhappy and decided to share his unhappiness with TF. Meanwhile TF people, who were watching the nation's best defense dismantle a WAC type school, were so happy that they couldn't understand why Dr. Dave was bringing up a totally irrelevant point. Dr. Dave thought everybody would gleefully agree that our QBs suck and we should lynch the coaches, but even a couple negatigers were careful not to fan the flames too much. Dr Dave came out looking like an idiot because even TC McCartney got in the game that he's not happy about. To your corner, Dr. Dave. The dunce hat awaits.

This thread further confirms my claim that some fans are miserable and just can't enjoy the ride. 51 pt blow out in a game the O didn't need to produce yds, really there is a complaint, really.
