I think alot of what DoctorDave says about the O is legitimate. The way and when of how he says it causes most of the backlash. Hey Doc, maybe wait till the game is over and throw some positives in there with your criticisms. Stewie from Family Guy calls it a "compliment sandwich". First, start with a positive:the offense didn't turn the football over. Then, go to your intended criticism:eek:ur passing game ain't worth a s@#*! Then, complete the sandwich with another compliment to leave us feeling good about ourselves and still realizing we need work:we won 51-0. You're a doctor, shouldn't you know these things?

Yeah, I give him credit for it. It kinda defies logic and doesn't seem like it should be sustainable, but he's been doing it for quite a few years now and we still field a damn strong team that can compete with any team in the nation. Unfortunately, we can play down to the level of mediocre opponents. We could be so much more.

I was just thinking, it turns out that Mauck and Flynn were two of the greatest qbs in LSU history despite being not overly exceptional. I hold them both in higher regard than Jamarcus Russell. I guess it is hard to ask for the best qbs in LSU history to come around more frequently, and it is hard to ask someone to be perfect. Miles isn't perfect, but with some of the most inadequate qb play in the history of LSU football, Miles is winning. So... :geauxtige

I like your point. Our receivers weren't that great tonight. JJ & JL's completion percentages would have still been a little weak, but a couple of TD passes would have made the passing numbers look better.

Again, not upset as 51-0 is what you want against Directional State U.

    One more thing...:eek:lefire:

saw the game from halftime on...

    Defense is great...already knew that...
Special teams are great....already knew that.....
    Offense is mediocre....already knew that....

I didn't learn anything from this game...

except....JJ will still run backwards in a straight line and throw it up for intentional groundings (luckily there was a defensive penalty)

LSU has the best defense in the country. We can beat any team in the country on any given day. We are 9-1 against the the hardest schedule in the country.

And, of course I forgot that people can't have an intelligent discussion when they are stinkin' drunk (not you). Is that enough of a compliment?

I doubt that Mauck and Flynn were two of the greatest qb's in LSU history. I do believe they played major parts in sucessful seasons. Remember and take notice, it seems that LSU can still win as a team and it seems that's what they have been doing. Btw, who gives a crap if we play down to there level as long as we win? The 90's were enough for me to realize that we were the level that people played down to so I don't give a damn as long as it is a W. I'm not bitching about Les anymore; I thought we would lose 3 or 4 games this year and I have ate my crow. Me likes the hatter

Isn't that the mark of a good coach? Think about it. Our passing game is one of the worst in major college football, yet we're 9-1, we just beat one of our arch rivals and the so called 'best coach in CFB, and losing only to the No. 2 team in the nation and their pro QB by only 7.

I wonder how many other coaches could do all of that with a passing game like our. Not many, I can assure you.
