The more expensive hire isn't always the best one. E knows football and while I would think he wouldn't be OC for more than 2 years he could be better than some young gun. In the movies John Wayne and Clint Eastwood always take those punks down.
I was astounded the other day to find out that Tepper is the DC for the Buffalo Bills. I thought that surely he was selling women's shoes alongside Al Bundy.
Problem with E is can he develop a QB? He has been on staff for many years and hasn’t done so yet. He can be brilliant at calling plays, developing game plans, and sleeping in his office but if we can’t execute what good is it. We need development on that side of the ball. Les was bad at it and it doesn’t look like it’s getting better.
I agree. I think that is where he will go. And frankly,. I think he will probably do a pretty decent job.
Last time he was OC, but also he has been on staff for a long time, if was a QB whisperer he could have helped with those train wrecks we have run thru there. It doesn’t take a whole lot of his time to coach TE, the OC could have used him as a QB himself to help. From the results we’ve seen over the years he didn’t or couldn’t, neither fixes our problem at the position!
A lot of assumptions there. Not the least of which is that the OC would have wanted him interfering... I mean help
