Everyone says Eaux wants E. Maybe Associate HC and TE and Gilbert as OC and QB coach. That might not fall under penny pinching, but others have said we’re not interested in penny pinching, and when Aranda was announced someone involved made it a point to specify none of his salary was state money. If it is E, not real sexy, but I guess Eaux will live or die with him. Wouldn’t really hate it; I imagine Ensminger would get burnt out considering how hard he’ll want to work. I’m sure he has no illusions about the amount of work involved to be successful.
We been penny pinching for the last 3 years. No Gilbert not even sure why he was brought up yesterday given E was officially the guy the last few days now. Some fans took to twitter to try a Tennessee reversal of the E decision and starting pushing Yurich and GIlbert. O couldn't get the board to approve Briles. We gave Tee Martin a look but passed on him due to lack of play calling experience. E actually had some influential backing as well.
I don’t think this is true. When he took over interim duties the amount of work he put in was reported as exorbitant. I think he’ll want to succeed and push himself to the extreme, but that can only be sustained for so long, and it’s a young man’s ploy at that.
If we stick with E, so be it I guess. Will definitely be underwhelming. I don’t think Aranda and Canada’s contract support the idea that we’ve been penny pinching. Neither does parting ways with Canada.
