Coaching is a big part of what separates us from being a top 5 NBA team. It's not the only reason, but it is a big part.
The Pels were on a roll when Boogie went down. DellI Demps had to make a decision between tanking and hoping for a lottery pick or making moves to try to get the mojo back and make the playoffs. It was probably an easy choice - tank and both he and Gentry lose their miserable jobs or try to save their jobs. I don't know if just barely making the playoffs would do it but right now as high as 3rd in the West is attainable. That would put them in a position to avoid a first round matchup with GS or Houston and possibly even win a series.
FIFY Not sure if you watched Portland last night but that team can do some damage. I don't see them letting go of that 3rd spot. Thunder clinging to 4th but they are too jekyll/hyde to stay there imo and could easily miss the playoffs because they don't hold a series win over many if any teams in the west that matter. Utah and Denver I expect to make a move up and the Wolves are a wildcard. All bunched up so tight anything can happen really.
AD was great, but Mirotic played his azz off. Hit threes, got rebounds, passed nice, and played through a nasty ankle sprain, then got up off the floor after having his legs taken out from under him and landing nastily. Great game. Team played hard, but Solomon Hill is an offensive liability right now after returning from injury.
