I'm sure if we had our choice we'd take Patterson but that's not how it works. We'd have a tough time pulling him even without franks being committed. One in the hand...
I suppose based on earlier comments, Ole Miss looks like the spot however Shea did say yesterday that he would probably decide in the next few months. And this, "Among Patterson's more than 20 scholarship offers are USC, LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama. "Playing time is huge. But I really want to go in with a coaching staff that I can work with and have good relationships with," Patterson said. "I want to be comfortable with a quarterbacks coach that I work with day in and day out. "Is it comfortable in all aspects from the atmosphere to inside the football offices to the offense? I want to go somewhere that's going to get me the most NFL ready."
If this kid is what he is supposed to be you get him. You write the check, you get the high priced hooked or the champagne or you chisel his name above the campus church. Whatever it takes you get him.
Graduate Assistants are paid at LSU. Interns often are not, working for experience only or sometimes degree credit in certain departments.
So exactly where are you getting this "most talented QB in the nation.' Hmmm, the ratings I see, Patterson is not #1 QB....Patterson is not #2 QB. Just more speculative hyperbole. Besides currently not being the most talented QB in the nation according to supposed experts, let's see how the SR season for everyone plays out shall we.
I find 2 things omitted from his list: 1) I want my big brother to be on the staff of that team...see we're a package deal 2) I want to be preordained the starting QB because I'm afraid of competition
I'm just going off of film I've watched. Obviously I haven't watched it on all the qb's but out of the ones I've seen he is to me, the most talented. He isn't a burner but he is mobile and he can complete passes. He looks off receivers and goes through progressions, then again Jennings did in high school also. Just my opinion.
