here is some film for those interested. How does everyone feel about this kid? He didn't really perform well this weekend, and like I said in another thread it's this same thing that completely made me a non believer in Brandon Harris. But for some reason I don't feel the same about Haskins. Maybe it's the fact that he isn't a dual threat QB, he is a pro-style QB even though he does have some mobility and can run the read option offense, but he has run a lot of plays under center which I feel is crucial for any quarterback coming to LSU. He can throw to the running backs, he can throw a slant, and he throws to tight ends. He can throw moving right and left with accuracy as well.
He was at the UA game for a reason. We need a QB and he appears to be the best option that we have any shot at. I hope we get him
Even though I wasn't impressed with him the Under Armor game I'd still love him on board. With our current QB's he would have a year or two to develop. LSU is in dire need of QB's
Russo commits to Temple when Haskins announced he was visiting LSU. Guess Russo doesn't want to be strung along.
Well, I know I am a half empty kind of guy, but just can't get excited at the prospects of snagging what appears to be the last of the uncommitted QB's. Continue to be amazed why we can't say we need the best and focus on that, do what it takes, just get a viable qb. It has been forever, other than the one year "blip" with Mett. Forever.
Haskins wouldn't be a guy we're just settling for....he's the number 3 ranked pro-style QB in the country, right on a level with Franks. He's been on our radar for months.
