Four-star Erick Fowler has committed to LSU, another pass rusher added to the Tigers' 2016 class. LSU has added yet another pass rusher to its 2016 class. Four-star Erick Fowler committed to the Tigers on Saturday, becoming the sixth new commit in two weeks. He's also the fourth defensive lineman, though he'll be considered an outside linebacker by the LSU coaches. As the Tigers move to a 3-4 scheme, they're looking for more pass-rushing outside linebackers and Fowler fits that mold. LSU has risen up his list in recent months. He took his first visit to LSU for the Spring Game in April. He returned for the Bayou Picnic in March, and LSU was his assumed leader after that visit. Despite coming from Manor, Texas, a town just outside of Austin, LSU was one of his favorite teams growing up. Though many considered the Longhorns would be the team to beat for him, LSU solidified its place atop his list after his recent visits. Now he's the 15th commit in LSU's class, and the third hybrid DE/OLB joining recent commits Andre Anthony and Caleb Roddy.
Bump for discussion. Texas putting on a full court press. About a 50/50 chance Texas steals him from us at the last second.
