Only one of these I saw was F9/11 and I found it crazy nuts that it took our President that long to react to our country being attacked, it was disturbing on some levels, and yes I think GW was an idiot almost everytime he opened his mouth, I don't have blinders on when it comes to any politician......what were your actual thoughts on 2016? Or did any of you actually see it? Or are you just blindly responding on predetermined notion that anything which may reflect poorly on Obama could not possibly be true? Furthermore, this film comes off as more of a PBS documentary done by a Dartmouth graduate immigrant from India.....not in the snide fashion of the one Moore film I saw. The basis of the film is off Obama's own book about his father "Dreams from My Father" which has details of his fathers anti-colonialism (which is anti America in a nutshell) and destroying the power of Western countries......among many other topics. Everything you listed is addressed in the movie and fault is laid at the feet of Republicans and particularly GW for increasing the debt and rightly so, credit is also given to the Clinton years, while not increasing the debt drastically but managing it. However, it's also noted Obama is on pace to beat GW's debt by a landslide, there are facts/graphs and charts in the movie.....but again, you are commenting on something you haven't seen with your own eyes. It's like me giving Tiga advice on raising ducks, which I'm about to do, but that's neither here nor there. One of the points of the movie is how differences between Republicans and Democrats will always exist, but they are both fundamentally looking out for America and it's citizens in their own way.........Obama transcends these differences and I for one agree. Again, I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has actually seen the movie, not just predetermined opinions.
It's more in reference to the America today, along the imperialistic unequal economic standard "western" countries have had in recent history. Something his (Obama's) father deeply resented, rooted from his living in Kenya which at the time was a British Colony. His father resented the British from his perception of the British mining and extraction of it's natural resources which the British, developed and sold goods derived from raw materials in Kenya to other nations, including Kenya....his father despised this even though Kenya had no means, intentions, or industry of mining any goods themselves. He had a burning desire to see Kenya keep it's natural resources and become more of a developed nation and to keep the British from prospering. The movie is not some Shockumentry filled with theatrics nor does it attempt to say Obama is filled with ineptitude. It's more of documentary showing how he's been programmed by his fathers vision, through his mother with an anti-western, anti-colonial, anti-capitalist world view, resentfully invested in the premise that exploitive colonial nations are responsible for third world poverty. Red, surely you would be open minded enough to see it, I'd be interested to see your honest thoughts on it after you see it.......
[/QUOTE] Nevermind Obama, let me ask you a question. A serious one pertaining to this statement. Are you implying its ok for another country to invade and extract resources, because the natives arent doing it?
Britain exploited their colonies ruthlessly and most former colonies are anti-British, as was the US for 125 years. America has nothing to do with this. But Obama's father is long dead and Obama really never knew him since his parents were separated when he was six months old. His father visited him only once when he was ten. This charge is guilt by association. Well, I've actually read Obama's book and it says nothing of the kind. His mother's and father's politics were from the '60's and he contrasted their politics with his own in the 2000's. There is certainly nothing Anti-American about it as you suggest. Well, it won't be until it's free on TV. I don't pay to see propaganda. I didn't with Farenheit 9/11 and I won't with this one. If you consider yourself open-minded, why not check out Obama's actual book from the library and read it yourself instead of relying on right-wing spin trying to make him look bad before an election.
No. Reaching. His father was largely a Myth to him, you are 100% correct, he was fed much of what I mentioned through his mother along with what a great man his father was. Is there anything anti-american about: Frank Marshall Davis Edward Said Roberto Unger Rev Jeremiah Wright and you say nothing anti-american about the politics and philosophies if his mother, Ann Durham? Fair enough, I respect that.
