I wouldn't spend my hard earned money watching garbage like that....no more than I would spend my money watching any of the Michael Moore films because it is all propaganda. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda. The dictionary says . . . prop·a·gan·da [prop-uh-gan-duh] noun 1. information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution,nation, etc. 2. the deliberate spreading of such information, rumors, etc. 3. the particular doctrines or principles propagated by anorganization or movement.
No doubt that More is a leftist shill, but not all of his films are propaganda. Roger and Me and Bowling for Columbine are bother very good. Fahrenheit 9/11 went over most people's heads in that it was Moore being intellectually dishonest in his criticsm of GW Bush the way the Bush Administration used intellectual dishonestly as a vehicle for influence and manipulation with the American People. All of his recent stuff is propaganda, but you're missing out on two good films if you're avoiding Roger & Me and Bowling for Columbine because of Moore's stigma. MM has been just as outspoken about Obama as he has the GOP.
Herb ... since we are being truthfull ... let me tell you the truth. The "Debt" is not caused by what you posted. The debt, and deficit spending are the result of almost 80 years of entitlement programs and other programs created by government to make it look as if government is helping people. The Historical Tables of the National Budget tell the story. You could cut ALL government spending except for S.S., Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare and Education .... and you still would have a 500 Billion dollar deficit. - S.S. ... was created before the era of medical miracles, at a time when the average life span was in the mid 60s. It was also wrongfully created in a fashion such that todays deductions pay for todays checks .. as opposed to having the same dollars you put in pay for your check. When it was created, some 13 workers contributed per recipient. ...... Fast Forward to today ... the average life span is pushing 80 years of age .... and there are only about 3-4 workers contibuting per recipient. .. that simpley can't work .. and won't. - Medicare ... Along with life saving medicine comes longer life spans, and more advanced age disease. Medicare, also was created before the modern medical miracle age ... and is now the single largest budget item on the books. The Babyboomers will break this system. In a matter of 5-10 years, heatlhcare will not be available to people as it is now. .. it simply will cost too much. - Medicare and Welfare. .... Now .. on this one, I have to lay a little blame on Obama. He has moved to expand these programs as no other president in the past. He's also expanded disability, which while officially falling under S.S., is a form of welfare. When people's unemployment runs out, they are encouraged by this administrtation to file disability for depression and anxiety. That's an open door Herb for any person who doesn't want to work .. .or who doesn't want to work for less pay than they made before. ... and it bipasses the "welfare clause" of workfair put in by Clinton's welfare reform bill .... which Obama is also working to push back through Sabelius. - Education .... well ... it is what it is. Education should be funded at the local level. However, the Fed has taken over funding to leverage their agendas on the States. .. ie. either State complies or loses funds. It's the same trick Obama tried to pull on the States with expanding Medicare in the ACA. ... either comply or we cut your existing medicare funds. Thankfully, the SCOTUS shot that down. And there is a 6th category .... it's called the FDR, Carter, Clinton, Bush Housing initiatives. For some reason, our Federal Government is all fixated on getting people into home ownership. I understand such, but, when you start pushing the bar lower and lower, to the point that people are taking out loans for houses they have no business buying, .. and turning the housing market into a short term investment strategy as happened in the Housing Bubble ... well ..you are just asking for trouble. .. BTW .. the second shoe of the housing bust hasn't fallen yet. Hang on to your butt!
