Enjoyed the NBA thread last year and will reply in this one with more relevant thoughts later. Had my 20 year HS reunion a couple of weeks ago. Our song was Free Bird, which was from another generation. At the time, I thought it should have been Today by Smashing Pumpkins (which I still think would be a good choice). However, I think now that Today was a Good Day would have been even better. Some classic verses in that song.
How can you possibly think any song by Smashing Pumpkins is better than any song by Lynyrd Skynyrd? You are dead to me.
I love Skynyrd. I think your Sr song should be from your own era. At least make it the live version of Free Bird.
