2012 SEC BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

#1-ranked Florida State (ACC Champions) lost their first game of the ACC Tournament this morning, 4-5 to unranked Georgia Tech

Basically you create a twitter account, follow lsubaseball, and then set you updates to text to your cell number. Then, whenever there is a game, you will get updates right to your phone.

 

Also, if you're out of the office and have an iPhone or iPad, LSU just put up a free baseball app a couple of months ago, and it's great. I think it basically links to the Twitter account for score updates, and it beats the hell out of checking a national site for delayed scores. However, I don't think it's out for Android yet.

 

scoring summary:

Top 1 -- Nola, Dozar, and Katz started the game with 3 straight singles, loading the bases. Moore hit Nola home with a sac fly and then Ross hit Dozar home with a single up the middle. 2-0 LSU

Bot 2 -- Ole Miss scored off a double then a single. 2-1 LSU

Top 3 -- Katz walked, Rhymes singled, Moore advanced them to 2nd and 3rd on a sac bunt, and Ross grounded to second, was thrown out at 1st, and Katz scored. 3-1 LSU

Top 6 -- Hanover singled, advanced to 2nd on a sac bunt by Fields, advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch, and then Dozar bunted and Hanover scored. 4-1 LSU

Bot 6 -- Ole Miss batter walked, got to 2nd on a wild pitch, and scored when Ole Miss hit a ground-rule double. 4-2 LSU

Ole Miss put a new pitcher in for top 7, RHP Aaron Greenwood (6-4, 200) and he's got 34 K's and 6 walks in 31 innings pitched this season, with a .236 opposing batting avg

and he knocks down LSU 1-2-3 with one K
