No thanks. Not what we need after the last 3 years. If he can spread it around and read coverages then fine but if it's a dual threat pet for miles the please no. I'm excited to see Mett but I'm also looking forward to seeing Rivers develop. I think he will be a good one. We need a distributor. We have too much skill on the perimeter for the dual threat fantasy. It's unnecessary and forced. We need a consistent, accurate passer with pocket presence and an internal clock that can find the 2nd and 3rd read.
I think the dual threat everyone is referring to is the ultimate dual treat....QB/DE...a two way player !!
I haven't watched the video but if he looks like Jamarkus and throws like JJ, please don't allow him on campus! He'll be lazy and won't be able to change that gawd-aweful delivery. Even with the most determined, like a Tim Tebow, a QBs delivery is a difficult thing to change completely. And I don't even want to think of the "what if" factor if CLM should fall in love with him like he did with JJ!
Another Rohan Davey in terms of proportions of height and weight. Davey was 6'2" and 245. Russell was 6'6' 260. Culpepper 6'4" 260. Dude needs to shed 25 lbs. That doesn't make sense to play QB at that weight.
