I agree. I don't like the new bats, and I thought they were right where they needed to be in 2009. This isn't MLB; part of the draw of the college game is offense. They may as well switch to wooden bats now. Instead of continuing to jack around with the bats, the NCAA should change the ball to MLB standards

Had to listen over the internet. Was it loud at the Box with the record crowd? Couldn't really hear it too well. Did Ore St taking so much time have an affect on the crowd? I hope the fans laid into them.

The fans got into it early, but the home plate umpire's very tight strike zone and the fact that glaciers advanced faster than the Oregon State pitch count kinda took everyone out of it. After the first dozen conferences on the mound it was clearly intentional. Even more obvious after they started using their bullpen. And they did hear about it.

And yeah, the fans laid into the first base ump on a bad call that robbed us of a run. He also got some nice sarcastic cheers after he made some correct calls afterward. It got funny toward the end when a bunch of fans started up a "Pitch! Pitch! Pitch!" chant. It also got loud when Goody came in and mowed down the backups.
