Impressive-Late hits on kids half his size, several holding penalties. I like OLinemen mean and nasty too, but this kid goes overboard IMO.
Their rankings are really messed up right now. None of this is close to final. Lots of players aren't where they should be and I expect some of our 5 stars to fall once they evaluate other players properly. Randle not in the 250 is a big joke, IMO. I do not know what Rivals problem is with Hill but they're obviously not high on him at all, they didn't even put him in the top 250.
Rivals guy said that Randle had 'ok' measurements when they evaluated him at camp and that he looked a little stiff.
Yea, typical Rivals being hypocrites. They weren't impressed by his measurables either, so why is Landry/Hilliard ranked so high then? Because its definitely not measurables. Randle has impressive film, hes a Football player, I do not see the problem...
I agree he definitely has impressive film. Hilliard is ranked so high based on production I think. Landry.. well.. he just demands respect. Trevon Randle flys to the ball but he does seem like a bit of a tweener right now. Perfect for a Chavis LB, but that may be why he's slipped down the rankings. He's a 250 guy though, for sure. If he's not.. well, hype or not I'm glad he's going to be in P&G.
That is the point I'm trying to make. Hilliard and Landry look amazing on film, so they get the respect they deserve. They are Football players. Randle should be getting that respect too, just by his film. He hits like a truck and I'll be damned if he isn't fast on film...he gets sideline to sideline fast. I think Rivals puts way too much stock in their combines. Running around in shorts doesn't prove you're a good Football player...
Maclin last year and Randle this year.. those 'stiff' LBs will make us happy I hope. If Maclin doesn't move to DE at least.
