No No No No NOOO. Do not waste an early draft pick on a running back. It is pointless. It has been proven time and time again, that running backs can be found late in the draft and in free agency.
Love to see Von Miller from A&M in black and gold, but I doubt he'll be around when we go on the clock.
I hope PP7 gets into a huge bar room brawl and scares teams away from him and he ends up being available late in the 1st where we can scoop him up. If I see him in a bar between now and April I'm going grab his girl's ass or call him a pickle kisser and see if I can execute my plan. Ya'll can thank me later. ...Oh, and I also need one of you to bail me out of the slammer.
He's probably not going to get drafted at all unless he's just really lights out at a pro day or something
just a thought but since we will probably be trying to replace reggie, (key word trying) why does it have to be a running back. I would like to see us take Randall Cobb, if he declares could be a 4th round pick up and is an incredible athlete. Basically as far as running backs go I dont see one who is the style of reggie for us to replace him with.
I don't believe we have many picks this year. I think it's a #1 (24th), a #2, two #3s (Washington and ours), and a #7. Those first four picks...(all in the first 88 selections)...need to make an impact. We can't afford to misfire on these. DE, OLB, DT can be addressed here... RB can be addressed through free agency... The 7th round pick can be paired for a trade, used for a project, used for a small school talent with potential, or the BEST remaining athlete to return kicks as we absolutely SUCK in that category.
The Saints need to draft Casey Matthews. If he is 1/2 the player is cousin, or brother, or whatever is, then he is a stud. He has looked pretty good so far in the BCSNCG.
