Re: S Byron Moore http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=3578151 Don't look now, we are High Intrest! along with Notre Pain.
Re: S Byron Moore By Scott Schrader Recruiting Editor Posted Jan 22, 2009 Byron Moore stated on numerous occassions USC was his dream school, but he had a meeting at Narbonne High today with Rocky Seto and informed him he was no longer committed to the Trojans. "Yeah, I went ahead and decommitted today," said Moore. "I just felt USC wasn't the place I wanted to be and I want to look at some other options out of state. Right now it's pretty much Notre dame and LSU, with Notre Dame in the lead. I'll probably take a trip down to LSU next week. "I kind of feel like I want to go to school out of state, see something new on my own, go somewhere I will get a good education and have an opportunity to play early." Moore was asked what Seto's reaction to the news was? "He was just real surprised and shocked," said Moore. "It was a real hard decision for me and I did it on my own. It was just me and Coach Seto in the room together, and I told him to his face that I felt USC wasn't the place for me, anymore." Moore informed Coach Brian Polian from Notre Dame and Coach D.J. McCarthy from LSU earlier today that he was no longer committed to USC. Note: Notre Dame and LSU are also two schools Moore's teammate, Sean Parker, has serious interest in. http://wearesc.com/news/story.php?article=1793
Re: S Byron Moore Notre Dame is in the lead, but it's also the only school he's had an official visit to. I guess things could change if he makes it down here. We'll see. I'd love to have him.
Re: S Byron Moore Thanks, I know but, I should have said excluding JC's. I guess kickers and punters should be excluded also, not that I know we had any.
Re: S Byron Moore I think his teammate (Sean Parker) was recently influenced by Moore to have interest in LSU and ND. His rivals list doesn't include us or ND as schools of interest yet. Back to Moore. He has a 3.0 average according to scout and a 1200 SAT on the first attempt so I don't think ND loses out to us because of academics. Early playing time, which he referenced as a factor would seem to favor the Irish without me doing any homework. We have Loston and have better recruits in general, year after year.
Re: S Byron Moore FWIW parkright on tigerdroppings thinks he'll be in this class. Says that ND leads only because he has visited them.. and that we'll be in front after his visit to us. He's one of the better posters on the recruiting section there.
Re: S Byron Moore I just hope Loston doesn't back out because of this. Loston was one of the best players I saw during the UA game. Cat was everywhere laying the big hits.
Re: S Byron Moore Dont worry about Loston, but I think if Moore gets down here maybe next weekend, we have a shot, especially him getting to hang with Shep.
