As of now it looks like it will be a LSU/ Texas battle for Rasco. He said we are the 2 on his mind. Mentioned his coach Byron Dawson played at LSU. He moved to Houston when he was 8 years old and moved back to LA in 7th grade. He also has a cousin and his older brother currently living in Houston.
No offer but OLB/DE Kendall Thompson out of Cathrage, TX list LSU as childhood favorite and his current favorite overall. 6'2 235 4.65 His film is very impressive.
Jarvis Landry and Kenny Hilliard both got their offers at the June Camp. Also WR Alonzo Lewis out of St. James got his offer as well.
Lewis is climbing the ladder really fast it looks like.. Landry and Hilliard are both studs.. but people are saying Lewis isn't far behind. We look to have a top 3 class again in 2011 (without Johnson).. all we gotta do is take care of the home town.
Hearing that it is not close to being over for LSU with Anthony Johnson. Look for him to be at the July Camp. Hearing the same for 2010 DL Risean Broussard and he might be here in July as well. Also, Lewis is a great prospect at WR or DB.
Does anyone think Anthony Johnson is any shot for LSU next year? I mean, I know about his coach and all, I'm having a hard time seeing us convince him to come this way. I was surprised at his early commit but you really can't blame the guy, right? Pisses me off to no end Tennessee is already tapping into our elite talent. I really really like this kid. Why else would he commit so early based on that relationship?
He probably realizes that his coach won't be there when 2011 NSD comes around...so why not commit now...you can always decommit later. Personally, I would like to see him "silently" decommit and sign with LSU the day after NSD, :lol:.
Where do we stand with these elite talents in Louisiana next year? Rasco Johnson La'El Collins Landry Hilliard Hill Lewis Are Rasco and Johnson really the only big question marks of ending up at LSU?
As of now I would say you are correct that Johnson and Rasco are the 2 we need to keep an eye on. Rasco has a brother and cousin living in Houston and lived there himself as a kid. It will be a LSU/Texas battle.
