Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Top 2011 recruits Army Bowl bound

Assuming that they have invited the top 19 players they can find, then it's pretty impressive that right now its looking like Louisiana has 4 of the top 19 players in the country. This just adds more validity to what everyone already knew. Next years class will be a huge one for the home state.

Blehn, Just how many offers does a university normally offer per year?? I know they are not all acceptable & that seems to get LSU in trouble sometimes. How Many do you think?

I would say usually around 125+ per year... Just depends on the circumstances and this is about the norm for most BCS schools. LSU is not the only program who have issues because every program has complications, some reported and some not. Just the name of the game...

I put most of the blame on for the issues on HS coaches who do not explain the process well enough to the prospects and their parents.

Don't be surprised if LSU lands a commitment or commitments from the 2011 guys today. :yelwink2:

If it happens I may be out at a Playoff party so will not be able to post on any details until I get back home.

So...if Terrance Magee projects to be a RB does that end the RB recruitment for 2011. Really would've like to try and pull in Isaiah C. but I guess you go with the closest to a sure thing. With Isaiah maybe a SD annoucement type of player.

I don't like LSU chances with Isaiah with 2 big RB commits on board already and the staff really likes Magee. We should be done at RB for 2011 when he commits.

Well Miles setup a very nice weekend as we can see and it was last minute. All but Corey White of the committed prospects made it in with family to get to know each other and the staff. Basically a mini Junior Day with the top prospects of the state in attendance.

Jarvis Landry was blown away and if anyone gets a chance to read the article on scout it is a must read.

Guys like RB Terrance Magee, WR Bradley Sylve, LB Odell Beckman Jr., and DT Quentin Thomas are leaving very close to finishing up their recruitment.

Greg Robinson and Alonzo Lewis were traveling home from the Army AA combine and couldn't make it. Rasco was likely to far too come at the last minute.

I know it's unpopular to toot Miles' horn on TF these days but it seems as if most people don't realize how big a deal this 2011 class is, and how freakish it is that we are locking them up before signing day of the 2010 class.

TX always seems to get their class in early, but it's still after NSD. I have never heard of LSU doing anything like this, and when you consider the depth and quality of this class....I'm just blown away.

Refreshing to see that kids of La(and their families) appear to have a far more favorable view of our program than many of the fans.
