It is good publicity, but that is a long time to wait. I would rather him verbal ASAP and refuse to take visits or calls from other teams. I guess I am just greedy and impatient. Is that so wrong?

I agree especially with an OOS prospect surrounded by top programs. I would rather have him committed ASAP.

Hunter is very reminiscent of 2008 class wide receiver AJ Green both in terms of measurables and ability level. We are not quite convinced he possesses the same top end speed, but Hunter is fluid, smooth and lanky with long arms and great leaping ability. What stands out about Hunter is his ability to adjust to the ball while it's in the air. He's very acrobatic and flexible and with his leaping ability and penchant for timing jumps and attacking the ball he is a threat to come down with any pass thrown his way-- especially vertically. For a player as tall as he is, he is not stiff and shows fluid change-of-direction and rapid acceleration both off the line and after the catch. He is very shifty both as a route runner and with the ball in his hands and possesses rare "wiggle" for a 6'4 prospect. He's a homerun hitter both as a vertical route runner and after-the-catch. Has a knack for producing in the clutch. Is deceptively fast. It almost seems as if he lulls defenders to sleep at times and his awareness down the sideline to know where he is in proximity to the defender is evident and a huge advantage for him. As a red zone player he is very dangerous because of his size advantage and long arms. What's intriguing is his ability as a return specialist which really displays his unique open field run skills. Obviously Hunter's lack of bulk and upper body strength is a concern versus press coverage and against tight coverage down field because he can get bumped a round if he does not have a free release. He must continue to develop as a route runner and not just be a guy that uses his size or only makes plays vertically. Crispness as a route runner, discipline at the top of route stems must come for him to be a complete prospect that can win with his feet setting up defenders in the field. Overall, Hunter is a playmaker, plain and simple. When the ball is in the air, it's his if he can get to it and he is a guy quarterbacks will have tremendous confidence in. In our opinion he will be one of the finer playmakers in this class of wide receivers.

Who will be next, Fobbs or Cobbs at ATH?

If we were to get both Fobbs and Cobbs, Jim Hawthorne would have to renegotiate his contract.:grin: Out of the two of them Fobbs seems more likely. However, with Davis, Hunter and probably Reed I wonder if this will scare him away if he really wants to play WR.

That is why I said Fobbs because it may scare off Fobbs but according to Cobbs he doesn't want to go anywhere that is taking 3 or more WRs. If we stay in the lead for Reed close to NSD, Cobbs goes elsewhere.

Fobbs.. Cobbs..

I would take Cobbs if we could get him.. his offer sheet is unreal. But I wouldn't want to lose out on Fobbs simply by holding out for Cobbs. Or try to sign Cobbs as an ATH/RB instead of ATH/WR.
