Most NC fans have wanted him out of there for years. He played a good game though. Either way terrible offense.
Quick wrapup. Penalties and fumbles killed drives, LSU's secondary is not as good as many of us thought it would be. LSU had 5 yards per rush and 8 yards per pass play. Jefferson had a reasonable day - 14/20 for 157 yards, 2 TDs, 1 Int. He made two bad decisions under pressure. LSU had 4 turnovers lost, 84 yards in penalties. This game was ugly because of execution mistakes - it's that simple. Cut the stupid penalties and turnovers, and UNC has less time of possession and probably doesn't get rolling. Not a pretty game. But if you don't WANT to be miserable about this one, you don't have to. There was a lot of positive stuff in the first half, especially.
agree. very very frustrating win. i'm not gonna pump sunshine, but im also not gonna be a negatiger. there were some good things the first half but they were almost negated by complacency in the second half. ironically, its seeing that good in the first half that has me even more frustrated. but as bad as it was, im sure houston nutt would love to have an ugly win. now, the haters, roaches, and usl fans can continue.
We only had 84 yards in the second half. Once again we kill ourselves only running 55 offensive plys. For reference 75 is average.
No it was the same as last year 55-60 plays. LSU had 300 yard against basically NC's 2nd string. You wouldn't even be posting this if the guy had caught a pass at the end.
