Russell Shepard should either have the ball in his hands or be a decoy on 80+ percent of the offensive plays that LSU runs. Anything less than that is just plain dumb and missing the boat big time. Something as simple as a fake handoff play action pass to the wide open TE over the middle for 15 like we did earlier in the game. Those plays will be there every time.
5 yards per rush, 8 yards per passing attempt, only 4 punts so far. I'd like to see more first downs and a better 3rd down % (3/8 right now). But I'm not worried at all. UNC's defense is not as good as it would've been, but this aint Miami of Ohio, either.
I guess the second string NON CHEATERS do not train under the same system that made the 1st string great. Its like saying OUR FRESHMAN that are playing are crap too....
Ridley 11 for 39 is the stat you need to key on. Murphy 3 for 2 behind that. 14 carries, 41 yards. That's our "bread and butter" horse running back. Against a rookie D full of subs, that's just not getting it done.
