Them both wearing the same number has caused problems before - in the pee wee league...

"Dad, Travis is wearing my jersey again"
    "Am not"
    "Am so!"
    "Oh no I'm not...I'm no. 18"
    "My jersey's purple and gold."
    "mine too!!"
"Dad, he won't give it back."

(At least that's how it works around my house...:hihi:).

Kinda tough to tell if a true freshman is gonna be that guy. And I can think of a few dudes already on the field for LSU who personify that role. Not a big deal. :)

Just seems odd to me. I guess I misunderstood how much of a tradition the #18 jersey was going to become. If it's handed down based on family ties, it's basically meaningless to the rest of the team.

Nice! Dickson was a guy I was really hoping would be in this class, but I was concerned would go else-where earlier in the year.

I'm hearing LSU had the stance of "commit now or we won't have a spot for you later" approach with Travis.

I heard that was the conclusion the Dickson family had. They decided last week that he should go ahead and secure his spot now.

But I am sure LSU could have helped them come to that conclusion.

 It seems we are getting a bit more stern with our recruits lately. First our WR's almost in tandem agree to stop taking visits, now this. I don't think we were bluffing with Dickson, but I don't think we would have taken another TE in this class if he didn't verbal. This leads me to think that we are in a position of strength, feeling good about remaining recruits.

Yes, Dickson will be split out wide like his brother; while Jacobs will play on the line like a guy like Joseph does.

    :hihi:

I am a little surprised because I pretty much assumed that it was LSU out front and then OM with the friend and family connections he always talked about.

I heard from a guy who claims to be a family friend (no reason not to believe him) that Georgia had pulled their offer to TJ the week before and he and his parents felt he should go ahead and pull the trigger with LSU.

Not that he was ever a serious Georgia lean just that recruiting has changed since Richard was recruited. Spots fill up quick.
