I thought Hanover was the MVP. Nola was great and hats off to him, but Hanover was the one jumping and pounding his chest and he just kept stoking the fire. I didn't realize how good he was until this weekend. Even the Bama fans were talking about him and how good he was. He had a helluva tournament. He was pumped up and he made damn sure the rest of the team stayed pumped up too!:geauxtige
i was pleased with katz all weekend. the kid is a great addition to the team and is hustling to make plays. looking forward to see how he does over the next couple of years.
I've seen some "bandwagoner" comments that I think are uncalled for. My God can't people who have been bummed for the past month be excited. I admit...I was DOWN on this team...but heck....we didn't have anything going for us..but I still posted. People usually remain quiet until something good happens....I guess that's better than some of us who were posting negative stuff the whole time.
I have direct tv, and did a search. It looks like it might be replayed on Wednesday on espnu, I had tivo'd yesterdays game, but it is all over since I had to stop and redo a few times. The one Wednesday will hopefully be the full game without the rain delays. Anyways I am gonna try to tivo it again so I can make a dvd of the game. And watch it again, couldn't hardly watch it yesterday.
I have to admit I was pretty skeptical coming into the tournament myself. I avoided making negative posts, though, because I knew it was one of those things that could turn on at any point. I was encouraged by Ranaudo's outing against Mississippi State, followed by Ross's. Looks at this point like the pitching is coming around.
I was negative but I'm not apologizing. They were pretty bad in that stretch and I didn't see them coming out of it. I wasn't blaming the coaches or anything, I just thought maybe they played over their heads in the early part of the season. Baseball is a strange game and post season records start at 0 and 0. Looks like we're undefeated. :thumb:
The rain turned that game into an all day affair. After the 2nd rain delay, ESPN2 tuned into a softball game so I listened to the extra innings on the radio. It was an exciting game and LSU pulled out a one run game. Was biting my nails when Ott was warming up before that 2nd rain delay. I thought they were going to relieve Bert with him. That 2nd rain delay gave them time to warm up Ranaudo. LSU and post season. Scary.
i dont think that fans that stuck around and were commenting and discussing both good and bad are bandwagon fans. i mean, lets be honest here. the team melted down. bad! if we cant discuss that, pick apart what might be wrong, and vent, why are we here? the fact is we were still watching and cheering for our team, and we were groaning when we lost. no way do i consider sonny, sf, jayb, me, or anyone else that stuck it out, even with our moments of negativity, bandwagoners. because even though we werent sure they would ever win again, we never walked away. bandwagon is those that havent havent paid much attention to the team all season. we get in the tournament and there they are, ready to hop on the wagon.
