Just wanted to hare since I was hearing crap from a bunch of Bama fans saying that Reid must be no good because Saban did not offer him.

    Well, Saban offered him today.

Just thought I would post that I have seen many times so far this year where Reid is reported in other prospects updates about him spending time and getting close with guys LSU is targeting. Like Shep but not the same extent as Shep yet.

Specifically with Vinson and many of the guys who have come in for Junior Days and to see spring practices.

He attended the N.O. Scout Combine but did not participate because of his shoulder surgery. He was seen with Trovon and Jarvis Landry today.

Reid is at the Top Gun Camp in Florida and was the most impressive defensive back there among a group of national prospects. Look for his ranking to go into the top 50 IMO. This is per Rivals:

"Safeties Eric Reid and Keenan Allen are very good.

Reid is huge. Looks like he could end up at linebacker if he wanted to but that's not to say that he can't cover. I was really impressed with the way he's been able to turn his hips in coverage. He has a good feel for routes and sees the field well. "

Now that he is close to 100% after his surgery we will see his stock going up and up. If he could have gone to more camps this summer he would be in the top 50 already.

    Great info, Colt.

Unfortunately Scout can't cover this camp, so their rankings on La prospects will continue to be porous. :nope:

Is that because they covered FNL? And if so, doesn't that mean their rankings on pretty much ALL SEC prospects there would be porous?

Pretty much. Especially early in the year.. I find their evaluations to be lacking.

I don't know why they can't cover it. It sounds like it may be a Rivals' sponsored event or something, bc they said they weren't granted access to it.

But yeah, their rankings for all prospects, no matter the conference, are porous IMO. I can give you plenty of examples.
