re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) Fobbs unofficially had 250+ yds rushing, 4 or 5 td's friday night. Moved him back to RB late this year to get him more touches. Also had him at FS last night. Would expect him to man up on Jarvis Landry next week when Huntington plays Lutcher at Independence Stadium. IMO Fobbs reminds me of Golden Tate.
re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) Well, finally got to see Jarvis Landry, very explosive, doesn't look as big as Fobbs. Biggest difference I noticed between the two is Landry loves contact. I've seen Fobbs 3 games this year, seems to shy away, (not that he's afraid, just seems to be playing conservative, i.e. not wanting to get hurt). Lutcher had a better game plan against Fobbs than Huntington had against Landry. Fobbs also looked out of place at safety, looked a lot more comfortable at corner. IMO, Fobbs had a better first step and hands but Landry was faster and a lot tougher to bring down. Landry will be a beast, but I still want Fobbs. Can I have both, Please.
re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) I was at the game too. I would say that's pretty spot on. Landry is a difference maker and yes, he looks like he loves contact, didn't matter whether he had the ball or not, he cleaned people out blocking, defensively, ran the ball with authority...it's like he played angry. I think the most glaring differences in the teams were: 1. Gameplan like tigerfan1974 said (Lutcher was well prepared for Fobbs) 2. Lutcher had Webster and a kid named Taylor who were both pretty impressive, team speed defnitely favored Lutcher 3. Huntington only had about 30 kids dressed out while Lutcher had about a hundred 4. Huntington seemed to have only about 6 offensive plays, seriously On another note, I thought it was pathetic of Huntington that there was only about 250 fans there for them in a quarterfinal playoff game being that they are about 15 minutes away from Independence Stadium while Lutcher brought 10 buses, some RV's and I'm sure plenty of cars - probably about 2500 people and they are a 4 1/2 hr drive to Shreveport.
re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) Miles and Yano will be at his house tonight. Very good read with a ton of quotes from Fobbs: Fobbs set for In Home Visit from Miles, LSU
re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) Man, it won't let me read it. Really hope we get this guy. But not at the expense of losing Jarvis Landry next year. We need this kid, plays like a man on a mission.
re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI) Well, we lost Reed (#1 player in the state) to Auburn. We have two big time receivers already committed this year, plus possibly Fobbs. Just saying I don't want to see the same scenario. Mark it down this kid will play offense at LSU or AM.
