1. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

Why the hell would this guy commit to A&M, then a few days later commit to LSU? That makes no sense. If anything, I think he'll wait it out longer before deciding. He must like A&M or maybe LSU told him he'll get his shot on offense...
  2. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

The visit this weekend really opened his eyes from what I heard.

He is offered as an ATH with an emphasis at CB.
  3. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

I thought we might hear more about Fobbs by now. Instead we took a verbal at CB from Tyrann, not that they are mutually exclusive, but it does shore up our need at CB.
  4. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

    Yea, taking Tyrann changed things.

I think we will slow play Fobbs, Wright, and Carter and maybe give one of them an offer as a ATH. I think the ship has sailed on Carter IMO.
  5. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

Door is still wide open and LSU has more than a great chance at landing him.

Maybe 1st come, 1st serve between him and Wright.
  6. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

Fobbs looks solid, but I like Wright more.
  7. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

You can say he is basically uncommitted at this point and the signs are pointing heavily in LSU's favor. Very good read...

LSU Still in Picture for Huntington's Fobbs

I feel sorry for the Aggies.....NOT!
  9. re: 2010 ATH Jarrett Fobbs (LOI)

Wow, I mean WOW, I was really impressed with this kid tonight. He played slot and split on O and corner and safety on D. This kid is the real deal, best HS athlete I've ever seen. Bigger, stronger, and quicker than Curtis Carter, man can he break on the ball. If he played QB, as Claiborne did last year, I think people would be more impressed with Fobbs. We basically played him man up with a safety 10 yards over the top with an outside lb spying on him. Unbelievable, kid still made unbelievable plays.
Man, I would love to see this kid in Tiger uniform. This kid is filled out, he's not some skinny tike that gonna have to bulk up, man he looks SEC ready.

I have heard that from a few people who attend his games each week and the reason the staff is really high on him. Seems like a can't miss prospect to me because if he does not pan out or is having problems against the competition at the WR spot he would make an even better CB.
