Conner will just be the first casualty of the Miles era in which a kid who is as high caliber as this and WANTS to go to LSU is not wanted. We'll spin it and say he wasn't wanted. Funny how that works when the player we don't want is the #3 player from your state on Rivals and more than likely #4 on Scout behind Davenport, Randle, and Ford. The spin doctors will be out in full force.
Re: Montrell Conner is a Tiger! Conner is not the first big-time D1 prospect from Louisiana to not get offered by Miles and LSU... Where is the spin? Are you suggesting we did want him? Also, Conner will not stay the #3 or 4 player in the state.

Re: Montrell Conner is a Tiger! That's exactly what I'm saying. Rivals' rating is, in large part, based on the prospect's offer sheet. When LSU doesn't offer a Louisiana prospect at a position of need, Rivals is going to drop that players rating.

Re: Montrell Conner is a Tiger! We'll see... but supposed top 100 prospects don't not get offered by the home town team. Things could change & Conner could get an LSU offer, but even if he does I think Rivals is going to question his rating since we didn't accept it the first time around.

Much ado about nothing maybe.. maybe not... Conner is rated a 4* athlete on Rivals & a not rated yet Running back on Scout with no offer from anyone yet...
