I'm sure he probably does feel like that, but I don't think it will affect anything if we extend an offer later on.

I'm wondering if our coaches need to have a talk with prospects (or perhaps their coaches) about this, because it happens a fair amount. We had a guy last year that tried to commit, Chris Martin I think, but it turned out he didn't have a committable offer either.

Id definitely say that its something that should be addressed. Hopefully this works out with LSU getting Conner. Id hate to see him feel jilted from this and end up going elsewhere. LSU has that proverbial fence around Louisiana, we certainly dont want miscommuication to be the reason we lose a top in-state player.

I personally didn't expect Conner to be so quick.. Everything I heard was that he would play the recruiting game. He obviously wants to be a Tiger. I think it will come down to if he wants to be a running back or linebacker. It may get touchy for sure. I hope the best comes of it.

Just a dumb question I know - But, why would LSU not accept his acceptance of a offer?? I mean isn't he a highly rated player & trying him at running back or Linebacker would work out in the wash wouldn't it? I can understand if a player isn't qualified, especially with the numbers being smaller this year.

Conner was willing to play any position at LSU, but the coaches aren't sure where he projects best. He's LSU's if we want him, but I think he may end up being a numbers casualty. If we had a full class, I think he'd be a part of it.

If he projects best at RB, but we have other recruits rated higher than him at RB, why accept his commitment? Ditto for LB.

I guess it just kinda puts a sour taste in your mouth being offered but it not being a acceptable offer> I'm sure all the schools do it the same way. "IF" we can get someone better then go get them !! SOON...

There's a lot of empty Bud Light longnecks between Junior Day and NSD. We should pace ourselves a bit...
