Thanks, everyone, who has been updating us on the early enrolees. How many are we now going to have enroll early? How does this affect the size of this years recruiting class, and how many current scholarsip holders would have to transfer or "shake out" for us to have a maximum number of signees this year? Also, would maximizing numbers of scholarships now hurt us down the road if they all stick around in the future? How does "shaking out" scholarships affect future recruiting? I know this is a lot of questions but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has them so please excuse me for being unaware.
    Thanks again.

No, it just means they get a jump on the rest of the class by participating in LSU's Spring Training while the rest of the kids are going to prom and/or playing Spring Sports.

Less than a month to go to NSD now guys. Hope it turns out great. I see on Scout where LSU has offered a scholarship for 2010 to a QB of all things to a kid from the west coast. Heaps I think his name is so I guess they will or will try to sign one next year after all..

We offered Heaps about 3-4 weeks ago but will be a longshot.

We will offer a handful of QBs and I think we will take one next year. But some feel we will not. Offers will go out to QBs regardless if we decided to take one or not.

Nick Montana was offered around the same time as well.

Expect Connor Wood, Taylor Burch, Terrance Broadway and a few QBs from Texas to be offered as well in this class.

Based on the current roster of QBs, I'm betting next year's QB signee will end up being a mid 4* kind of guy. Who knows, though. Maybe the staff is able to find a Bradford in the rough.

I'm kind of hoping Chris Garrett is the Bradford in the rough.

Is Downs only a 3 star prospect. I thought his stock went up dramatically after the all-star game. I know he moved up on ESPN 150. Do they change the star rankings a well?

He is a 4* on Rivals and 3* on Scout. He will be moving up in both rankings soon and likely be a 4* on both services.
