    Rivals now lists:

    QB Tate Forcier--California (4*)

    WR Craig Appleton--Illinois (4*)

Note: Mason Walters is listed as an OT

Forcier said his top 2 right now are PSU and Oregon. He said he would make all the visits however and decide by Spring. He wants to get the process over with before his senior season.

Pretty sure that's Chris Forcier's brother. Chris committed to ucla last year. They list different high schools but that's not so unusual I guess.

Why haven't we offered Morgan Newton yet? I like him over McCarron and Sheppard as far as our offense goes. Has the size (6'5 205) and the speed 4.5/40. Accounted for 13 passing TDs and 9 rushing TDs with only 3 INT and 1300 yards of total offense. While his stats aren't overly gaudy as his team likely ran some form of the option... I like this kid all around and think he could develop well behind Perrilloux, Lee, and Jefferson. He is also an honor roll student who will have no trouble qualifying.

How do you offer a high profile player a scholarship with a flyer in the mail?? Kinda makes you think we (LSU) is just going thru the motions. As in we gotta offer him but don't think we are gonna get him.... Come on!!! the coach has got to call these guys don't he??

More importantly, CB Dre Kirkpatrick's teammate.
