Wow... I am now really getting the feeling that the Saints will be trading down to get additional picks.
The ideal would be to trade down to the late first round, pick up a second rounder, then with one of those picks pick one of the best FS on the board (most should be available late in the first round or early second). The problem will be finding someone who wants to trade up. I think the market's going to be a little dry for that this year.
My ideal situation.. Titans take Lance Moore.. that gives us a 2nd round pick. Trade our 1st/(earliest) 4th for a late 1st/3rd + 4th the following draft.
I've been praying and hoping for a while maybe we can make a highlight dvd and send it to the Titans.:hihi:
There are rumblings that the Rams may want Lance. They don't want to give up their 2nd rounder, though (who can blame them). We could work something out to get their 3rd (2nd pick of the 3rd round) and a later pick.
If they were willing to give up their 3rd and 4th or 3rd and 2010 2nd(greedy) but really 09 3rd and '10 3rd wonder if we would listen
I would ok with that trade if it's a 2nd. That's a no brainer. A 3rd is probably more fair for the Rams, much less of a steal for the Saints. Saints should now trade down for their first pick in order to get a 2nd rounder and select Beanie Wells to give us the final piece to what would be a Super Bowl winning team in 2009.
