Hell warmed up over the weekend. Waltrip now sits 12th in points, down 5 spots. It was a good run while it lasted.

Hell is scheduled to re-freeze though as Nootch is on top the fantasy charts. Fear the buoy.

Up next, Atlanta. The fastest track without plates. I loves me some AMS!

He spun himself backwards into the wall with a couple handfull of laps to geaux. He tried to get it going around again but he had too much crap dragging on the track. Finished two laps down.

Click the Discussnascar link in my sig if y'all want to get our site rolling again. Used to have a pretty decent following but it kind of dried up last season. I'm trying to get some good discussions over there.

I'd love to see The Rock back on the circuit. He!!, bring back North Wilksboro while we're at it. They go west too much now....6 races on the left coast (including Vegas)? You can't tell me there's that much interest in NASCAR in granola-land. Cut Cali and Phoenix back to 1 and bring back Rock and NW. There's my 2 cents.

I will take two runs on Phoenix and drop a Pocono or even a Michigan. Racing at Phoenix is phenomenal. You know where I stand on Fontana but Sonoma is one of the finest days on the track all year. Attendance has far from fallen. I guess the fun factor falls off a tick where the left coast does not have the facilities like a Bristol or Talladega, but there is still some kick ass racing out here. Vegas proved that last weekend. Despite the engine failures (team engine testing) Vegas surpassed more then half of the 1.5 milers out there in terms of quality racing.

North Wilksboro is in terrible shape. I stopped at the track last fall and it would take MILLIONS to get that place ready to hold a Cup event. It was a sad sight.

I agree. Pocono and Michigan are boring. They usually come down to mileage. One thing I don't understand is why are they going to Fontana twice a year when right there in Vegas the racing, attendance and facilities are so much better.

Just look at who owns Fontana and you have your answer on why they stop their twice a year.
