Since our athletes aren't getting paid to play i'm not going to criticize any individual player... but it's not JJs fault his OC doesn't seem to have a clue on how to coach this kid correctly or any other offensive player for that matter.
Breaker 1-9...breaker 1-9...where'd you go? Mallet is a redshirt sophomore, so right now you're still at zero. Name two...TRUE sophomores...better than JJ...with facts to back it up.
JJ has not won any games for us. He has top 5 talent next to him. I agree the OC sucks and I got thrown up on a cross here about 4 months ago saying so. With that said, he is good enough to get you 7-10 wins if the talent is very high, put him on Vanderbilt and it would Ugly with a capital U. I respect your opinion but I must be watching something else. Nobody was going to run the ball good today. Let them throw the ball, have your offense move the ball down the field on the defense that can't get anyone off the field. The way you beat LSU is the same way you beat them every week, let them throw.
What am I spinning? I said true sophomore, and come with facts. You haven't done either...and can't. Mallet isn't a true sophomore, ID 10 T.
Okay, so they're not getting paid to play (they just barter everything else). College football is semi-pro. The scholastic athletes are on the second or third strings. The first string consists of those with probability of going pro and there is money on the line. So, I'm not criticizing someone with nothing but their scholarship on the line.
I don't think we really crushed either of those teams this year. In fact, I'm trying to decide what was LSU's best game this year and I'm having a hard time coming up with an answer.
The only real question is if JJ can get better. I really don't care if he is the best true sophmore of all time. We need better play from the QB position. And we need a run blocking offensive line. And we need to pressure the QB with the defensive line. #84 had the biggest regression from junior to senior in the history of of LSU football. All he did today was outside move to five yards behind PSU QB.
