Disappointments abound since 2009. There have been moments of joy, but we've kinda been pedestrian since that time for an athletic department with our resources. Alleva was hired as AD 7/1/2008. Correlation? Of course, Mainieri and Miles were Skip hires. He's struck out to date with basketball, but at the time Johnson was heralded as a good hire and the decision to hire Jones had its supporters. Since the 2009 NC, LSU's lone win in Omaha was in the losers bracket (edited that LSU had zero wins in Omaha). Since losing to UNC in round 2 in 2009, LSU has been to the Tourney once and hasn't won a Tourney game and has been to the NIT twice, with one NIT win. Starting with the 2009 season, LSU has 3 bowl wins and 4 losses, including the devastating 2012 NC loss, and has finished in the top 10 twice. The hires of Eaux (w Canada and Aranda) and Will Wade have brought some positive energy and hope, but Mainieri is currently still dragging ass. Will Mainieri continue the sucky trend or turn the bus around? I'm happy about the new hires, but not feeling real confident in baseball.
Fire everybody. But let's start with shane, replace him with tiga. Somebody pack CO's shit and mail it to him. Bring red back in for guest apperances, but replace him with NC and MAYBE have a weekly golden girl segment. Didn't they win a game in Omaha in 2015? I'm thinking they lost game 1 to TCU then beat somebody before losing to the Frogs again
We went home with the yips. That's all that processes at the moment but I agree, Lange won his game and then 2 losses. Regardless, likes point is made and we need to fire everyone. Tired of being remembered as someone else's quality win.
