Mr. Chouest is the biggest majority share-holder other than Shinn, purchasing a ton of shares before the season. And he is also a family friend and I can tell you he wouldn't have invested in the team if he thought they would move. They will either: a. stay in N.O. with Shinn as owner b. Shinn will sell all of what he has left to Chouest to make him the big owner, and Chouest will keep the Bees here.
Couldn't agree more here. Since there hasn't been years of tradition, there aren't many average sports fans who know anything about them. Our youth will grow up as Hornets fans, idolizing Chris Paul. On another note, Boston comes to visit in March and I just got my tickets and I expect to see a packed house.
The Hornets don't lose money in NOLA (regarless of how many butts are in the seats)...it's basically set out that way with the state contract.
Hornets beat the Clips last night to improve to 30-12. Hornets are on a 8 game winning streak and a seven game road winning streak....they put both of those streaks on the line tonight in San Antonio...game is for 7:30 on CST/NBA-TV
They said that because of the weather in New Orleans the flight for San Antonio was delayed for this morning. Jordy said they reached the hotel at noon earlier today. Let's hope they rested last night... Attendance average after last night: 12,569.
well I had been a Hornet-hater saying they would fall apart, but they beat the Spurs by 20+ in San Antonio tonight. That is sort of a changing of the guard type of win.
